It’s easy to tune out when we hear the Christmas story read.
After all, it’s so familiar there can’t possibly be anything new in it for us.
Except wait… the magi follow the star to Jerusalem? That’s different.
Especially considering Jesus is born in Bethlehem.
Have you ever felt misled by God?
You’re in good company.
There’s a lot we can learn from the magi and their six-mile detour.
How do they respond?
- They stop to worship.
- They let God use it.
- They live differently.
Linger at the manger a little bit longer today.
Reflect on the following questions:
Have far have you traveled to get here?
What has it cost you?
Where have you gotten lost along the way?
When have you needed to choose to worship?
How is your life different than it was last Christmas?
We’ll see you next week with a new episode of Have Hope; Will Travel.
