This was probably the hardest podcast to record so far.
The world is changing so quickly, coming up with content that would still be relevant, respectful, and hopeful several days from now seemed like an impossible task.
Yet reality is: God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So what could I say that would be true regardless of what happens?
The only theology that stands is what’s true at the funeral of a four-year-old and at the gates of Auschwitz.
Or when white supremacists storm the Capitol, a pandemic claims the lives of otherwise healthy individuals worldwide, and the series of unfortunate events of 2020 continue into 2021.
As a follower of Jesus, you were made for such a time as this.
Hope runs in your veins—literally and figuratively.
Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him.”
