  • Flying to a foreign country with 20 strangers who become brothers and sisters
  • The moment when playing eclipses language barriers and age differences
  • Reconnecting with friends after far too long apart
  • Three languages in one conversation
  • Laughter so deep you’re not sure you’ll ever breathe again
  • Sharing a meal with friends every day for a week
  • Worship not bound by the traditional connotations of the word

Where have you found joy this month?

This post is a link up with One Word 365. My word for 2013 is JOY. What’s yours?

I tried to write something that joy is, and found myself writing all sorts of stuff about knowing, realizing, understanding, and God’s grace. Those all bring me great joy right now, but the blog (and life) is so experiential. I want to follow in the same vein as the blog but can’t right now. Thanks for sharing, and for the good challenge, Katie!

My word this year is Focus, which I need to work a little harder at. I miss you all, but I especially miss is this: Worship not bound by the traditional connotations of the word.

Me too! I started writing this post a specific memory but just couldn’t, so I tried again, and couldn’t… so I opted for this instead.

That picture… ohmy! Made me smile so much (there’s one thing I’ve found joy in this month), and long walks in the sun would be another. :)

It’s probably my favorite pic from the whole trip.

Terrific picture! Love your “laughter so deep you’re not sure you’ll ever breathe again.” My word this year is Rejoicing.
