Much to my dismay, this is a very common conversation around my house.

Dad: Whatcha doing?
Katie: Writing.
Dad: Am I in it?

At this point, the conversation has two ways it can go:

(1)
Katie: No
Dad: I’m chopped liver.

(2)
Katie: Yes.
Dad: Does it say how wonderful I am?

These are the only two options.

What if we regularly had this same conversation with God, our Abba Father?

Abba: Whatcha doing?
Katie: Living.
Abba: Am I in it?

(1)
Katie: No.
Abba: I’m chopped liver.

(2)
Katie: Yes.
Abba: Does it say how wonderful I am?

Friends, does your life say how wonderful He is? He should not just be a character in your life-story but rather the center of it. Whether you’re a writer, a father, a teacher, a student, a plumber… does every scene reflect the magnificence of your Abba Father?

Wow! Great connection Katie. Makes me wonder how I would answer…

      I know I wouldn’t always answer well.

Your dad sounds like a cool guy. :)

I think if God asked me that question, I’d probably stumble over the answer. Ouch.

      We call Dad “Problem Child.”

My answer to the question hurts too.Katie

This is a beautiful thought, Katie. Everything about me should say how amazing God is. Thanks for the reminder.
